How long will it take to erect and dismantle the marquee?

This will depend to certain extent on the size of the event, access to the site, having to work around other contractors etc. However, we always aim to have the marquee(s) erected in time to give the florists, caterers etc. one full day prior to the event. If the marquee is required for further events this can be arranged but as a general rule we like to clear the site at the earliest convenient time.

As a general guide we usually require 1 full day to erect and dismantle the marquee.

Many people and organisations book their marquees six months to a year in advance to ensure they won't be disappointed. To guarantee your requirements are met we therefore recommend you contact us at the earliest opportunity if you have any specific dates in mind.

On a hot day, can we open the walls?

Yes. For no extra charge we can provide walls that can be tied back like curtains or window walls. Not only can these be fitted at no extra cost but they can be fitted in any wall of the marquee enabling you to create entrances and exits to meet your requirements.

Do you offer free site visits?

Yes, we always offer a free site visit. As part of our site visit we can utilise our Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to give you a better idea of what we can offer and how the dressed marquees will look.

We are also available for free site visits in the evenings or at weekends if this is more convenient.

How long can I keep the marquee for?

Most events occur over the weekend. Typically we will erect the marquee(s) on the Thursday and remove them on the Monday.

Provided we are given plenty of notice and we can spare the equipment we are usually happy to allow you to keep the marquee(s) for an extra day, or so, at no extra cost. This may be beneficial if you would like to hold another party or charity event.

What types of flooring do you offer?

If the area where the marquee is to be sited is flat and in good condition you may choose not to add flooring at all. However if you feel flooring is required we will be able to supply a carpet to suit your requirements and give that luxurious feel. Our flooring section gives details on the various grades and colours available.

We can also provide dance floors if required.

On a cold day, will your heaters keep the marquee warm enough?

Even in midsummer a heater may be necessary. It is better to budget for a heater just in case and make a final desicion the week before the event when you are aware of the weather forecast.

Heater technology has advanced greatly in recent years enabling a marquee to be kept surprisingly warm even in the middle of winter.

Yes, if the grass has been covered for several days it will not look its best but this is only temporary. We are careful not to damage plants especially if flowerbeds are included in the marquee.

If my guest numbers increase, how far in advance will I need to let you know?

We will endeavour to offer flexibility right up to the last minute, with the ability to add another section of marquee if you feel an increase in numbers is likely. In addition we aim to remain flexible regarding any further furniture you require. Hopefully once our working relationship is established any changes of this nature can be brought to our attention as soon as possible.
